The 1st Equal Voice Alberta North event of the year will promote the release of a new book on women in Canadian politics.
This new book explores the representation of women in politics from the 1980s until now, and considers why representation levels have remained largely the same over this period. Attendees will be engaged with a presentation on women in politics based on findings from the book, and then have an opportunity for discussion and questions with both Dr. Trimble and Dr. Arscott. Following the formal presentation, we will be going for informal drinks and further discussions at Mercer Tavern, 10363-104 Street.
This event is free of charge, but we will be accepting donations for Equal Voice Alberta North at the door. Note that Equal Voice as an advocacy organization is not a registered charity, so we are not able to issue tax receipts for your contribution. All are welcome to this event.
About Equal Voice: Equal Voice is a national, bilingual, non-profit, multi-partisan organization dedicated to electing more women to all levels of political office in Canada.
